MUSKET Presents: Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson

MUSKET, the University of Michigan's largest and oldest student run musical theatre organization, proudly presents BLOODY BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON in the Power Center for the Performing Arts!

BLOODY BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON follows America's controversial seventh president from his early days as a child to his reign in the White House. With the country severely divided along political and financial lines, Jackson climbs from populist rabble-rouser to President of the United States. Along the way, he meets his wife, Rachel, takes on the Founding Fathers, and rocks the nation like no political figure has ever rocked before, with the help of rock music, raging emotions, and an entourage of singing, joking cohorts. Dubbed by many historians as “the American Hitler,” Andrew Jackson and his story cause us to question what causes the rise of such a president — and who is responsible for creating the legacy that he leaves behind.
